Terms of service
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms apply to the public site ishtirak.me and the operator app app.ishtirak.me (together, “Ishtirak”). By using Ishtirak you agree to them. Ishtirak is run by an individual in Lebanon. Contact: support [at] ishtirak.me.
The tariff information
The public site shows the monthly private-generator tariff published by Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water. Ishtirak is independent and not affiliated with the Ministry. We copy the figures carefully from the Ministry’s releases (or, where noted, from news reports quoting them in full), but mistakes or delays are possible. The Ministry’s official release always prevails. The bill checker gives an estimate of the maximum allowed bill; it is not legal or financial advice.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account and must be 18 or over. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for what is done in your Ishtirak account.
One account per business. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Your data and your subscribers
You own the business and subscriber data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you (see the privacy policy).
You are responsible for the data you enter being accurate and lawful, for having your subscribers’ agreement to keep their details and to contact them on WhatsApp, and for the bills you issue and send.
Generator bills are calculated at the official tariff for the month. You are responsible for following the Ministry’s rules and Lebanese law when billing your subscribers, including not adding fees the Ministry does not allow.
Plans and payment
The Free plan allows up to 20 subscribers. Paid plans (prices are shown on the Plan page in the app) allow more, for one month or one year. Prices are in US dollars and may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
You pay through Whish and include your reference code in the payment note. Your plan is activated after we confirm the payment, usually within 24 hours. A plan starts from the activation date, or extends your current plan if it is still running.
When a paid plan ends and is not renewed, your account returns to the Free plan. Your subscribers and bills stay, but you cannot add subscribers above the Free limit.
Payments are not refundable once a plan is activated, except where the law requires it. If we activate the wrong plan or cannot provide the service you paid for, contact us and we will put it right.
Acceptable use
Do not use Ishtirak to break the law, to send messages people did not agree to receive, or to store information you have no right to hold. Do not try to access other operators’ data, overload or attack the service, get around its limits or security checks, or copy it with automated tools.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where possible we will warn you first.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Ishtirak available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own records of anything essential to your business.
We may change, improve or stop features. If we ever stop the app, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can request a copy of your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Ishtirak is not liable for indirect losses (such as lost income or lost data) and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Ishtirak at any time. To delete your account and its data, email support [at] ishtirak.me (see the privacy policy).
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. If a dispute arises, please contact us first; we will try to resolve it directly.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update them here and change the date below. For important changes we will tell signed-in users in the app before they apply.
